Now I like the fact that the Netherlands is flat, coz you can bike super easily!
Day 1: Amsterdam-Waterland-Monnickendam-Volendam
Day 2: Volendam-Edam-(中間經左幾個小villages)-Hoorn-Enkuizen
Edam
Hoorn
Enkuizen
Day 3: Enkuizen-Lelystad-Almere
(sorry cant type in chinese on the computers in school..)
we reached Almere right before it got dark
had a drink, watched football & dinner in the city
set our tent in the middle of a public beach inside the city
it was super chill. unbelievably, it was the quietest night compared to the first 2 nights
Day 4: Almere- Muiden - Amsterdam
We packed our tent at 10am, still no one around at the beach.
Can't believe camping inside the city was much more quiet and silent than camping sites
We met a friend there, listened to his music and chatted
Then we had to start biking otherwise we would be late for a birthday party tonight
Although the journey was not super long
We were biking against strong wind which broke me totally
There was a festival going on in Muiden as we passed by. Narrow streets in this small city were packed with happy people. Cozy. Too bad my phone was out of battery.
Completely broken, exhausted and moody, we returned home safely. Had a nice warm shower n laid totally still to rest, we left home again for the birthday party
Afterwards, a friend of mine asked whether we brought anything to fix our bikes in case anything happened. The answer was no. We were damn lucky that nothing went wrong. I would love to say thank you to our bikes for carrying us along the way.
but after returning to Amsterdam for couple of days, my bike was stolen (again). And his bike had a flat tire (which we think was done intentionally by people who wanted to steal the bike).
So...
Now i have a real dutch bike. Finally, I am learning how to ride on a dutch bike which is a bit too high for me to sit on. I remember there was a saying that dutch bikes were the most difficult ones to learn.
But challenge accepted.
